Sunday - Uni Day at 2010 State ChampionshipsThe 2010 NSW Rowing Championships concluded at Penrith late Sunday with a gold rush for the Sydney Uni team in open competition with wins in the Men's Elite Eight, Women's Elite Eight and Men's and Women's Elite Quad Sculls.
On and overcast and rainy weekend conditions for rowing remained excellent while the boat park (hit by 90 mm rain on Friday night) became a quagmire.
Some major highlights of the championships for Sydney Uni were:

1. Cam Girdlestone, Sasha Belonogoff and Ryan Edwards finishing 1, 2 and 3 in the Champion U23 Single Scull.
2. SUBC finishing first and second in the Men's Champion Eight and winning this event for the fifth year running.
3. Sydney Uni taking out both the Men's and Women's Under 21 pairs with the two Ryans ( Edwards and Barraclough) winning a tight battle with Sydney and the women's pairs of Michell and Sackville winning with their club mates Beale and Battersby in second.
4. Sydney Uni winning the U21 Women's Eight with our new U21 development squad.
5. Nick Purnell completing the 2009 and 2010 double with a win in the U21 Single Scull.
