SUBC JUNIOR FOUR SELECTED FOR AUSTRALIA

New Boatshed Imminent for SUBC – Funding Support Needed

After 10 years without our main training facility the new SUBC boatshed is imminent. DA Approved plans are in place and Sydney University are proceeding towards construction. All that remains is for us - alumni , parent and friends to raise the remaining funding of $480,000 to ensure completion of the shed with all the facilities needed. Vale Maurie Grace – SUBC Coach

The Australian rowing community was saddened today to learn of the passing of Australian Olympian and Sydney University Coach, Maurice Grace. Born in 1929, the New South Welshman represented Australia in the Men’s Pair at the 1956 Melbourne Olympic Games. Sydney University is pleased to announce the appointment of Dustyn Butler to the position of Assistant Coach. Four Sydney Uni Rowers Awarded 2015 Blues

Four Sydney University Boat Club rowers were awarded sporting blues at the Annual Blues Dinner held in the Great Hall last Saturday. Thirsty six students were awarded blues for outstanding performances over the approximately 45 sporting clubs of the university. Sydney Men Win Intervarsity Rowing 2015 – Melbourne dominate Women’s events.

The 2015 Australian University Rowing Championships were held at the West Lakes course in Adelaide last week 30th Sept - 2nd October. The Mixed Eights and Fours were held on Thursday with SUBC winning both events – our club has dominated these two events since they were introduced. Sarah Cook elected to Rowing NSW Board

Sarah Cook has been elected to the Rowing NSW Board for a two year term at today's Annual General Meeting. Sarah has represented Australia internationally over a nine year period and is now involved with rowing and coaching at St Joseph's College and her old club Sydney University. Sarah was elected along with existing directors Steve Handley and Deanna Fekete.
