SUBC Car admired by MUBC fan(atic) |

Former 1970's World Lightweight Four Champion and MUBC fan/alumnus Colin Smith along with John Boultbee admire the SUBC Golf after the 2005 University Rowing Championships. Colin and Bolts, both current Board Members of Rowing Australia enjoy a friendly rivalry over the feats of their clubs.
In 2004 Sydney took out the Oxford and Cambridge Cup and Colin Smith found refuge in Melbourne winning the overall pointscore. Fortunately Sydney were able to take out all points trophies in 2005 plus the Oxford and Cambridge leaving Colin expressing a view on the bank that he would have to throw his weight behind his home state of SA and support Adelaide to beat MUBC's arch-enemy in the big one. The weight of Colin's support must have nobbled the Adelaide crew who had a poor race compared to their heat row to finish well back in third.
Boultbee and Noel also claimed victory for Sydney in the one-eyed supporter stakes by producing the pictured vehicle with the SUBC number plates ! |
