Alumni Photo The Alumni of SUBC have always played an important part in developing and maintaining the Boat Club.

From former stalwarts like Thyne Reid, who was instrumental in ensuring the Club obtained a permanent home and Joe Rourke, President for many years to modern day benefactors like Ian Plater and Eric Carter the alumni have always put in that bit extra that has enabled the Club to move with the times.

Today, the involvement and support of alumni is more important than ever. The primary job of alumni is to improve and maintain the SUBC fleet to the highest standards.

Matt Duly in Ho Chi Minh City
Matt Duly at the opening of the project office for a major new bridge in Ho Chi Minh City. Matt is working for the builder Baulderstone. The bridge will be similar to the Anzac Bridge in Sydney.
