Formal notice of the upcoming 2017 Sydney University Boat Club Annual General Meeting.
Nominations are open for the following 7 office bearing roles within the Executive Committee:
• All nominations must be received by me in writing no later than 5 business days prior to the meeting (Tuesday 28th March) and must be seconded by at least 1 other member of SUBC
• Only current financial members of the club are entitled to vote so please ensure your membership is up to date prior to 4th April
• The gender equity clause abided by all constituent clubs of SUSF states that we must maintain a minimum of 40% representation as each gender as office bearers on the executive committee, meaning that there must be at least 3 members of each gender elected
• Any individuals who choose to nominate must provide a short paragraph (no more than 200 words) outlining why they seek to be elected in the position and their experience at the club thus far. Any current executive members who wish to nominate do not need to provide this.
Date: Tuesday 4th April
Venue: Thyne Reid Boatshed – 348 Burns Bay Rd, Linley Point*
Dress: Please bring Blue/Gold Blazer if you have one as we will take a club Photo after the meeting
*Parking is extremely limited, as a result, we ask that you do not attempt to park at the boatshed. We advise carpooling if possible and that members park in View St which is a 2-3min walk from the boatshed.
We will be holding a BBQ after the meeting to celebrate and all are welcome to attend.
Should you have any questions or concerns, please let me know.
